(Last Night) Mistake Or Not

(Last Night) Mistake Or Not

A Poem by Lord_Shade

I woke up this morning,
With my senses back in place.
Last night was a weird one.
One I wish I could take back.
-
I've never shared half as much before.
No one has ever glimpsed inside of me.
You kept me pouring out my heart,
Telling you things I dreaded to tell.
-
A drunkard has few secrets,
But I was neither drunk nor tipsy.
What are you? If I may ask,
For you did what many could not try.
-
Mistake or not,
I'm not entirely sure.
But letting you in,
Felt a bit luscious.
-
I dread our next meeting,
The look of pity in those eyes.
For, the dog that looked fierce to you,
Would become the puppy in need of care.

About
There's not really much about me. I took up poetry last year ever since I can't live without writing at least one a day, even if it totally sucks. My preferred genre of story writing is fantasy and I'.. more..
