Finding Bliss

Finding Bliss

A Poem by Lord_Shade

All around me my demons lay,
Haunted by them night and day.
All I want is to leave this hell,
To hear the tolls of fortune's bell.
And live sweet life anew,
With my heart never again blue.
But my journey is hard and long.
My spirit won't be forever strong.
And my road has travelers none.
With all else gone,
Save the empty road.
And prints behind me, where I strode.
Oh! I want to leave this road bereft
Of comfort and whatever hope that's left.
I want to leave this dwell of fiends,
As I've come to love this search for bliss.

I liked how you described the want to know bliss. Made the journey a hard one.
"I want to leave this dwell of fiends,

The search for bliss is the best part of the journey. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

About
There's not really much about me. I took up poetry last year ever since I can't live without writing at least one a day, even if it totally sucks. My preferred genre of story writing is fantasy and I'.. more..
