Turning My Back

Turning My Back

A Chapter by Shade Teller

Down a road where barely any walk,
There's no place to run, no place to talk,
Leaving all that world behind,
A new life up ahead,
Now, its my time,
to join the dead,
Leaving behind,
The world,
The sun,
Leaving behind,
my loved one.
I'm turning my back on the world I knew,
I'm leaving all, I'm leaving you.

A poem with the desire to escape and find death. I don't now if death will be any better? The flow and purpose of the poem was strong. A excellent poem.
