It's All in Your HeadA Poem by Shade Teller
"Don't worry," he said, barely moving as he spoke, "it's all in your head." He lifted the barrel of the gun right to Cori's face. "Don't worry it's all in your head." Cori stood terrified and started to scream but what was the use no one was there to help him. Cori's was chained and trying to free himself.
"Screaming won't help you, you know," he said, "There is no one here, and if they are here, they are only in your head." A sudden look of shock came upon his face. "Oh my, Cori, there could be people in your head, They're all in your head. He now took on a psychotic grin and pulled the gun away. "You cant shoot them out," he asked to his victim, "Can you?" He retrieved what he was looking for. A small knife only as long as his thumb, but the blade itself was thick and sharp. This knife was meant for cutting through anything. "I suppose, we should have to slowly dig them out," he came up again to Cori. Cori started to plea. "Please, I don't want to die, I'm scared," Cori said, " Please let me go, I wont tell anyone about you. You have nothing against me." But his cries would not stop him. He came up to Cori and started to scalp him. "All that hair just gets in the way." The knife went in deeper penetrating at the skull. A small snap echoed in the room along with Cori's girlish screams of terror and pain. Merciless was he. On the floor was a bloody mess of hair and a small piece of bone. "There that should get the people out," he said, "Yes there they go." His eyes followed what was his imaginary people. His hands were bloody and stains spread all across his face with his work. "Look Cori, you are not worth it, anything that was said to you was all in your head." Cori cried and pleaded once more. "There is no point anymore," he said, "Tonight I will kill you." Without another word he took the gun and shot himself and Cori's lifeless body fell, leaving a masterpiece of blood and gore on the floor. © 2010 Shade Teller |
