Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Shade Teller
"

A final word from a man to the one who needs it most.

"
It doesn't matter that I live,
to see another day go by,
to see another wish created,
to see another dream die.

It doesn't matter that I live,
to see another day grow old,
to see another pass away,
to see the loved ones grow cold.

It doesn't matter that I live,
to hear another desperate cry,
to hear another call for help,
to hear another say "Goodbye."

It doesn't matter that I live,
to hear another angry yell,
to hear another soulless call,
to hear another thrust down to hell.

It doesn't matter that I live,
to know another pain-filled day,
to know another love that will die,
to know another person finally say.
"Goodbye"

But... it does matter that I live,
to see, to hear, to know you know,
to see, to hear, to know,
the place to where I go.
Maybe I'll see you there and then,
Maybe I'll see you again,
Goodbye.

I like that second stanza;
It doesn't matter that I live,
to see another day grow old,
to see another pass away,
to see the loved ones grow cold.
I think the whole write is good. It makes me think and ponder all the things that surrounds us one day will be gone.
Excellent write.
