From the Fire

From the Fire

A Poem by Shade Teller
"

Ever wondered what comes from fire?

"
The calls of them who died,
echoes in my ears,
igniting pains and memories,
of all of those past years.

From the fire come the screams,
of shattered hopes, smothered dreams,
From the fire comes a rebirth,
and a final end to this earth.

The sight of flames occur,
and joy within me burns,
but gives me strange flashes,
of their bodies burned in ashes.

From the fire comes the screams,
of shattered hopes, smothered dreams.
From the fire comes a hell,
that no man or heart can tell.

The feel of the smoke,
enters my lungs and makes me choke.
but makes my heart burn with relief,
ending the misery, ending the grief,

From the fire comes the screams,
of shattered hopes, smothered dreams,
From the fire comes a peace,
in my heart knowing life will cease.

The knowing of death
fills the bodies whole,
turning me to ashes,
burning out my soul.

From the fire comes the screams,
of shattered hopes, smothered dreams,
From the fire something is given,
a trail and path to the gates of heaven.
