TWO HEARTS HAVE MET

TWO HEARTS HAVE MET

A Poem by Shabeeh Haider

                    Two hearts have met,

                      Two souls are paired,

                       With just a glance,

                       Secrets are shared.

                                                     With every beat,

                                                     The heart will tell,

                                                     The story that

                                                      We know so well.

                         The seasons change,

                          But still we sing.

                          For in our hearts

                          It’s always spring.

This is sugary sweet, the way love should be. Any woman would read and eat these words like candy. Well done!

Love the uplifting message full of hopeful ideas . . . especially soothing in these times when there's so much hurting in our world. Great cadence & rhyme & buoyant spirit expressed here (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Real sweet. Made my heart melt while I read. The start of it reminder me of a song my Aunt Denise you to sing to us.
"Two less lonely people in the world
And it's gonna be fine
Out of all the people in the world
I just can't believe you're mine"

I loved it. Good job.

Diane, thank you for taking the time to read and comment
Ah, this was lovely! Yes, the story of love is indeed well known. And, indeed, when you are in love 'It's always spring'. Gentle metre-beat, in red print, with pleasant rhymes... just right for the subject.

Very good. It is great to read a tightly constructed poem that is so well written. I particulary like the last two lines.

Thank you James
A beautiful poem.
Though quite simple, it has everything a good poem should have. The flow is rhythmical, the rhyme is unforced, the syntax is spot-on, and the visual presentation suits the piece perfectly. I love the message of the last stanza ... shows how your love remains consistent through any situation.
Thank you for sharing.
