THE SILENT STORM

THE SILENT STORM

A Poem by Shabeeh Haider

The splashing of the oceans,

 Is very loud and clear.

The roaring of the thunder,

 Is deafening to the ear.

But when the heart is broken,

 Though storms inside abound,

 In silence you will suffer,

No one can hear the sound.

Thank you Nina for your kind words
Absolutely LOVE this contrast between wild nature & suppressed feelings of sorrow. Your message is straightforward & nicely descriptive, but most of all, true to life & packed with feelings.

Very true. I love the way you contrast and lead us to the point. As always your rhyming is on point and your message is relatable and generally just a good read.

Was my pleasure to read your work and you are welcome.
The beauty in simplicity can never be overemphasized. I enjoyed this cause of that very beauty. The contrast is also mind blowing as well. Keep writing. Nice one.

Thank you Mifa and I am glad you enjoyed it
That is great. Loved the contrast. A broken heart takes a lot of time to mend, and the process is very painful. You have expressed on your theme in a very well manner. This really happens when one's heart is broken. Dark and deep. Keep writing.

Vatsal, thank you for your kind words.
You really bring out the contrasts between the two with this poem. Some suffer in silence though storms inside rage on.

A commendable piece of poetry.
