THE SILENT STORM

THE SILENT STORM

A Poem by Shabeeh Haider

The splashing of the oceans,

 Is very loud and clear.

The roaring of the thunder,

 Is deafening to the ear.

But when the heart is broken,

 Though storms inside abound,

 In silence you will suffer,

No one can hear the sound.

that's wonderful
Trying to contain it so no one will bother. Coz' if you let it out you'll end up roaring like the thunderstorm! This is very nice Shabeeh Haider :D

You're welcome! :D
Very beautifully expressed here, Shabeeh Haider jI.
A broken heart's pain is so severe that if it is voiced, their sounds would be definitely deafening to ear..The agony, the helplessness, the lament and all the pain that takes volumes to express you have beautifully and crisply crafted in this write... I have no words to say how much this short piece touched my heart.
Thank you very much for sharing this piece...

thank you Paul for your words
Love this short piece and the parallel between nature and love. A great capturing of the broken heart, and how different it is to suffer in silence when the actual storm rages inside. I like the rhyming too- though familiar in the first stanza, the second one really tells the story. Great job!

This is a great description of a broken heart. Especially, the silence you will suffer. We there is a storm inside we typically just stay quiet. Great description of the "storm". N.

Adi, thank you so much
How very true ... the strength of man-made pain hurt really can be compared with the savagery of heavy weather. Plus, more often or not, we can't control what's happening. Beautiful put.
