THE GAME OF LOVEA Poem by Shabeeh Haider There are no playing fields, It isn’t a board game. But who plays the game of Love Will never be the same.
There is no dice to throw, No cards to set apart. All alone you make your moves, With just a helpless heart.
Quite often you will laugh, More often you will cry, At times you want to dance, At times you want to die.
We won each other’s love, We ruled each other’s heart. Two souls wanting to be one Were bound to stay apart.
The time has come to leave, Now isn’t it a shame, Even though I won your Love, I somehow lost the Game.... © 2016 Shabeeh HaiderAuthor's Note
