Funny when you're hurt by someone yet you still treasure everything. Martyrdom is another form of love that can only be understood by few people who can truly love. :) Two stanzas that clearly states the true meaning of love. Your poems are so beautiful, Shabeeh. Your are gifted. :)

Usually I don't prefer the shorter poems becuz I find myself wanting MORE . . . but in this case, I think you've made a good point without elaborating on it. I very much like the idea of the heart healing but still having a scar, which represents all the tough stuff. This conjures up many related ideas in the reader's mind. By the way, sorry I've been off this website for a few months & I've missed reading you!

Shabeeh Haider,
"A Scar"
How many times in the aftermath of hurt, loss, catastrophe do human beings realize that something good will emerge from the grave of their suffering?
"Time has eased hurtful pain, eyes do not shed tears. solitude lost its charm. Mind shed its fears."
These inner changes show a new strength is now present and that is wonderful!
To come out the other side with grace is also beautiful; "Heart is healed of its deep wound to But won't yield the scar." I find this very meaningful as "the scar' shows maybe that we have learned something and/or become wiser, more gracious, careful?
"Treasured gift by someone so far."
You presented a hope filled poem.
Blessings to you
Kathy

Fresh wounds don't heal in just a flick of fingers. And, even after the wounds heal it leave back its mark. Something, that keep on reminding what brought it in the first place. But, even carrying the battered wounds and scars, life moves on. Not for a second will it stop. Not even in the second when you look down to gaze at your scar.
Nice piece put up.

Writing poetry is my passion. I have been writing since I was 10 years of age. I love the poets of the Romantic Era and am very particular about rhyme, meter and balance.
I have also written many Gha.. more..
