Beyond Echoes and Shadows

Beyond Echoes and Shadows

A Poem by ShAb
"

This is basically a monologue of a husband to his wife on her tomb.

"

Conceit was I?,
Perhaps so,
Delusional you say?,
Maybe.
Dishonest too?
Aa...

Touched you, did I?,
you liked it?,
No!, I see,
and the way I kissed?,
ordinary was it?.
ah!, as you say.!

Did I say promise?
I'm human too,
animal you say?,
Social? should I fight back.
Kill me?
I'm dead already.

So what was it?
It?
The fight about?,
I don't know either.

Should I shout?,
Echo in here?,
Its you?,
Its dark now,
There's no light?,
Shadow? in the dark?,
Its you?
Ah, as always Beyond.

I'll come tomorrow,
Love you?,
I knew it, you had to budge
Another ordinary kiss perhaps?,
Wow, you still got it.

Shall I leave now,
Cause I got a date,
I love that flush in your face,
Work only dear,
Quitting isn't an option
why?
Who'll buy you flowers then?
Favorite?
Daffodils, don't test me.

Ok enough for today,
tomorrow does came,
Don't say that?,
Started again,
That won't happen,
I'm still so young,
Ah, fine a bit rusty,
Now stop laughing,
If it does happen then what?,
no of course not that,
Then I'll be with you forever,
What's better?
Stop crying,
Bye.

and he kissed the stone again, as heavens laid pour and the daffodils wilted
