Where Were You? [2-21-2009]

A Poem by SamanthaLynn
"

I wrote this about 2 months after my grandmother's death from a massive stroke. her death took a toll on my life and this poem shows my anger at God for taking her away...

"
I keep hiding
My true emotions,
Blocking out
The world.

I'm afraid to
Tell them what
I'm going through,
To get close.

I always get
Close to a
Person and
They become
Not trustworthy.

How do I know
For sure that YOU
Will give me
Unconditional
Love?

How do I know
That you will
Be there when
I need you
Most?

Where were you?
When she was
On her deathbed
And I needed
Your guidance?

Where were you
When I asked
You to save
Me?

I am terribly sorry for your loss.
I like this poem because it's real and I can feel your emotions through the words which makes it far more beautiful...yet it's very sad and painful to think about.
Thank you for sharing.

this is a natural fear - when the heart seeks out love and the mind controls the time -- we have to deciede if the heart or the mind is right
