Things We Do For Love

Things We Do For Love

A Poem by Seyi Ojenike
"

Appreciating sacrifices made for love

"
I was in the driveway when you caught my eye.
Feelings long lost yester years
Came strolling by
A chicken I am, filled with all fears.

Beastly as I am, in my ape-like form.
Never would I have thought your love would come.

I would often wonder so.
A beauty as yours,
Would stoop so low,
And pull towards direction whence love force.

My heart yours and yours mine,
And together we're doing fine.

I like the second stanza, it reminds me of beauty and beast (because of the story line of un-superficial love haha). Sweet poem
