Cheers

Cheers

A Poem by Seyi Ojenike

I heard! Heard your spirit soar
As wind of time blows to your end
Like rags in a gentle breeze.
What wonders will today bring
What boxes will gifts jing
What friends will sweet memories ring.
Let the celebration begin,
And tension loosen.
Summon the music
And watch filled glasses clink.
Cheers!
As drinks spill
Showering on your head
Like sweat-beads,
And droop beneath
To moist your feet.
Feet of steps
Steps to glory.
