Song Of A Lover (For Fatima)

Song Of A Lover (For Fatima)

A Poem by Seyi Ojenike

Come my love and let us sit.
Under the dark blue skies,
Where the stars lit.
Arms locked while through fields of love,
We creep.
Leaving the whole town behind, asleep.
Stare into infinity
With love growing
Till eternity.
I will hold your hands, and you, mine.
In both our eyes, this tender love will shine.
Your presence only,
I crave nothing more.
Your sacred love is what I breathe for.
Let the angels of love rise,
Come forth and see with their eyes,
The unbreakable power we wield,
Union of which offspring will yield.
