London (Unfinished Verse)

London (Unfinished Verse)

A Poem by Seyi Ojenike

How I long to see your streets
Where I would stand alone
To take a glimpse,
To behold what beauty,
When lights illuminate the night.
Breath in fresh air
From the dark skies,
When pregnant clouds race
In anticipated rain storm
And smile at the golden sun
In the morning after.
Like this would not suffice,
My raging desires,
I would satisfy,
Making haste to take rides
On top of the double-decked
Buses,
Those big red monsters,
Viewing the beauty and magnificence
Of your landscape.
