New Generation (Shades Calamity)

New Generation (Shades Calamity)

A Poem by Seyi Ojenike

I observe skirts and trousers
Moving ceaselessly around,
Like blind individuals
Wearing sunglasses,
Sunglasses?
Even indoors?
They call it fashion,
But has fashion lost its sanity?
They are filled with deceit,
Embracing each other at gatherings
On dark nights,
Love?
Still hidden behind shades.
These people blindly adhere
To the ways of fashion,
Leaving me to contemplate
Fashion's blindness.

Fashion is a fleeting trend that some people obsess over way to much. I get wanting to look good, but sometimes its ok to throw on a pair of sweats! Nice poem, I liked the message!
