I wanna sleep in your arms and I won't cause the harm And I won't be surprised if I wake up and find That the place where I thought our bodies had to lie WAS COMPRISED OF NO ONE BY MY SIDE
His body: Like the darkened imprisonment of sanctuary The warm embrace that exists to encase A heart that's scorned by an unholy place It isn't a lie but somehow so deceiving The radiant eyes of an emerald gleaming The embrace of illusion to a pitiful face Heart-felt but half-empty for he's still contained He'll never belong to me the half-crazed
The crook of his neck upon which she bedecks Her head and lips as she gives him a peck And as I turn away from her I hear the silence of faces slurred
It seems to me in my eyes of green There's something missing from this scene Here's the picture I envy and learn And yet his lips are stained from hers
Swimming in a heat they believed to be so sweet How remarkably amusing to find out he was a cheat Those radiant eyes of poison green Were swimming only in a scheme
And so I think at least it's not me Suffering in those eyes of green There's the picture of a dissipated fizz And now her lips are stained from his
