Change

You can't fal in and out of love,

the heart doesn't work that way,

but you can,

not love

the new version,

of the one you love.

People change,

hearts may grow fonder,

then you realize,

they aren't who they used to be,

they feel the same,

look the same,

sound the same,

but words are different.

 

you wonder why they would say that,

what happened to the old them,

you helped them through the fire,

only to get burned,

by their new self,

which is bitchy and dull.

 

so love can form,

and never fade,

but people change,

and so we must move on.
