Psychology of a cigarette pack

Psychology of a cigarette pack

A Poem by R. Bagby
"

Newport menthols

"
the psychology of ones cigarette pack
you can tell all about a smoker from how he utilizes it
from a bad day to a good one
sad or happy
the ones with the half smoked cigs deeply tucked beside the fresh ones
those rushed b******s in life
they could also be cheap as all hell about every puff
or those with many left
the spoiled from excess
passing them on like cue cards until they get low
or the social smoker
who fears addiction and loneliness
the packs with all the cellophane ripped off are druggies
storing their bits of stash there
quite similar those with eight stogies left
with a nice blunt ready for an excursion or date
and the sad b******s with one or two left
From a binge of drinking and using
or life hating them as they passive aggressively take days weeks and months away from themselves
Or those like me who got hooked from needing a reason to excuse themselves repeatedly to forget the stupid conversation people thinks warrants speech
