She'll say no, anyway.A Poem by ShogunAh, back once more. Now it does feel a little odd publishing this after 'My Naysayer' but yeah...She’ll say no, I’m sure of it, I don’t even have to try. I wear my brother’s hand-me-downs, I’m too poor to even cry. What am I, a sergeant? Stuck in a computer game. Or maybe a dorkish nerd, Who’s known nothing more than shame. I seek solace in my armor, Faithful steed close at hand. I know I can’t be anything more, Too weak, to make my stand. I know she’s into music, But I've no hope with my guitar. Try but I know I can’t I will never be her star. I’m too loud and really ugly, I know my poetry will do me no good. For I’m such a big loser, Betting more than I really should. The previous rhymes weren't pretty, I’m such a noob at love. Oh, and did I say I swear too much? I’d rather stop eating and starve. She’ll say no, I tell you, Do you want me to draw a chart? Because all my chances point to south, And I know we’ll never even start. For thy Fair Maiden accepts only perfection, And this knight is all out of coin. The beasts and dragons he had all slain, Isn't enough for their hearts to conjoin. And he is all out of stamina, Or mana, if you will, His bow is slightly peeling, And he’s hungry for his next meal. But as he watches and admires, The Konqueror of his heart. But he looks away, knowing, Love will tear them both apart. © 2014 ShogunAuthor's Note
