Part 2, TowerA Poem by Eryn ♪The Traveler, the Princess, The Darkness, they are one and the same. Part 2 of the Awakening poems.
I take the steps two at a time,
Their winding steps, Lead up into infinity. I stagger at the top, A figure stands before me, Clad all in black. Reality shifts, Takes on a new hue, One tainted with Darkness. The Dark stands before me, Between me and my goal, But I am not alone. The princess with ivy hair, The silent traveler, They are my allies against it. The black metal of it's arms, Gleams in the moonlight, Catching the shadows. We clash, My Darkness and I, And it taunts me. You are weak, Insignificant worm, Surrender to the Dark. But I can't give up, Their faces flash in my mind, Their hope gives me strength. Click clack, A black blade hits the floor, Then four metal limbs. The Traveler prepares the way, The Princess helps the wounded, For even the Darkness is, A part of me. © 2014 Eryn ♪ |
