NightmaresA Poem by Eryn ♪
Flash Flash,
A projection creates, Dark images, Of peoples fears, Though not mine. What I fear, Stands in the corner, Staring at me, Glowing like the projections, Blue. But it is not a trick, There she stands, And I scream, For only I can see, That she is standing there. Case me down the streets, Follow me forever, To that windmill in, The fiery field, Locked. Millions crash, Upon my small self, Each trying to grab a bite, Each red eye gazing at me, Glaring at my soul. Escape, Escape, The only real way, Open my eyes, To the break of day, But they are sealed tight. Small it scampers, Around the yard, Laughing at, My attempted escapes, Invisibly caged. Wrapped up, In it's precious cloth, In it's jewel of fear, The instrument, Of my demise. A roller coaster, Of emotions, Filter through me, As I stand in line, for a real coaster. Find a way, To let my mind, Linger to other things, A pamphlet to, Nothing important. Look away, Then back again, Left behind, Or not quite so, The last one standing. Childhood memories, Cast into fire, From the mouth, Of that old red colour, That you used to draw with. Race through the alleys, The fields of amusement, That instill fear, Not amusement, Like the coaster. The one that leads, To the abandoned house, All walk in, None come out, Now it's your turn. © 2014 Eryn ♪Reviews
