A tall broken arch,
A torn down wall, Shattered glass, Litters the floor. Past the pews, That are no longer, Up to an alter, That doesn't stand. Twinkle twinkle, A piano starts to play, A musical piece, Long forgotten. Slips into another, Song lost in time, Again it plays, Another tune. There is no pianist, There is no choir, But the twinkling notes, Fill the room. The memory of, A forgotten soul, Lingers upon the keys, Still playing, Those hallow, Twinkling, Songs. © 2013 Eryn ♪ |
