Summer Dayz

Summer Dayz

A Poem by Eryn ♪
"

My attempt at writing song lyrics. Tell me what you think.

"
Beating away at this note pad,
The pencils in hand flashing,
The tunes playing with my head,
Making their way onto paper.

The lyrics that inspire me,
The soft spoken truths they tell,
The reasons that make life great,
Lifting your spirits up in the rain.

Watching the downpour,
Through the window pain,
You'd rather be out there,
To dance in it,
Loving every moment of it.

Ticking away the time,
The clock in the room's corner,
Anxiously you wait for the bell,
To start another blistering summer day.

Lines of words fill the pages, fill the hours, form a song. And al the while you are there.

Watching the downpour,
Through the window pain,
You'd rather be out there,
To dance in it,
Loving every moment of it.

So dance in the blistering rain,
Can't wait for the end,
So i can see you again.

oh my goodness, i love this poem! I don't think I've given it a read before (shame on me) but I am certainly glad that I did. My favourite bit is the ending though, cause like...I dunno how to describe it but I'm sure you know what I mean. Well done :D
