Beyond the cover.A Poem by Eryn ♪So I figured, I've been here long enough that some of you might think you know me. Well maybe you do, and maybe you will find something new.
Beyond the cover,
Of a sealed book, Lies pages of ones life. A life like others, Yet not alike at all. Its cover, Unmarred though it may be, Holds within it, another. Inside lies a girl. Her name was given to another, Yet it is hers to own, She can heal her own wounds, Yet time cannot erase her scars. Unsure of herself, She makes her way, Never knowing if she will simply, Slip away, Forgotten. She drowns in darkness, Yet always smiles, Wishing to protect those who can't. Holding on to her inner light. Music drives her, Sometimes healing, Sometimes leaving disaster, In her wake. Sorrow and loss follow her, Like a pack of hungry wolves, Ripping new rivers, Across her face. Her words are haunting, Filled with the same darkness that surrounds her, Yet holding the same light, Within her. She sleeps often, But never dreams, Instead she travels, To new possibilities. The soul of another, The light in the dark, Musics plaything, Warrior of words, A sleeping survivor, This is Summer, The pages within, My bound book. © 2013 Eryn ♪Author's Note
