A New Day Dawns

A New Day Dawns

A Poem by Eryn ♪

I wake up to silence,
My cheeks still wet,
The world is dark,
Coldness grips my body,
Sadness icing my bones,
The world is lost,
As I sit upon my bed,
Time passes by,
A rose coloured haze,
Fills the room,
I tear my eyes,
From the blank wall,
To the frosted window,
And watch,
As the world comes to life,
Yesterday wasn't the end,
It was a beginning,
For just as a new day dawns,
So the spirit continues on.

I enjoyed reading this poem it told of the aftermath of an important yesterday without dwelling on the issue and like Gone with the wind had a Tomorrows another day attitude at the end well penned -Smiles Jude
