DistanceA Poem by Eryn ♪
I watch the town shrink away,
Those I love left behind, The distance between us growing, Tearing a wound into my chest, Distances bony fingers grip tighter, The farther I get, I promised I would remember, And never forget, But the distance keeps stretching, The land between us, Moving me one way, Moving you another, I fear I will loose you, And then, I get your text, Distance has vanished, Vaporized, And there you sit across the aisle, And I know I'm not alone. © 2013 Eryn ♪ |
