Lovely Untouchables

Lovely Untouchables

A Story by Sethnicity
"

When Love is to high to hold.

"

From the day on to dayoff
Night rise to nightfall
learning to circulate
the changing wind calls

wailing while waiting
Peek Olympus still frozen
sunlight comes daily
yet river peaks flow rarely
As
Goddess of desires
transgresses for Man of flesh
When LOVE of pure source
erect doth speak to her Mountain
winds carry the word
like
Birds carried in Thor storms
She stitches words sewn
Yet remains unconvinced, of
Commitment of mere-man

His hunger to taste a Goddess
Will lie unfulfilled
Because the fairness of reality
he can't yet flip the bill
All He wanted was the company of an Angel
But without wings
She can only dangle down blessings
Snowflake-like nothings that melt on the ear.

Will She step-down from her Throne no more,
To pleasure him at the tree line of Olympus?
Shall he rest on the foothills casting only Thoughts to Her milk Delicious?
He will touch himself while wishing she would come as well.
But as with warm weather and water wave swells
As with Lily Blooms and Gala Costumes
once again gone too soon,
Before their seasons could change Hue....

Sometimes those Goddesses are hard creatures to reassure that the love is profound and real. They would rather sit on their Thrones than take a chance with a person who is not of their stature even if the love is real. I love the mythical feel to this poem and the descriptions show the angst of the lover wanting to be with their Goddess. Longing and hurt entwines in a spell binding story.

I think understand now...
This is interesting. I can definitely feel what you did as you wrote this, it speaks painstakingly of loss and longing, and with an appreciative eye you march backwards in time over your favorite moments of bliss while in the presence of your sweet muse. It's a love letter that transcends time, and overwhelms the spirit with youthful yearning. My favorite stanza was this:

His desires to taste a Goddess
Will lie unfulfilled
Because the fairness of reality
he can't yet flip the bill
All He wanted was the company of an Angel
But without wings
She can only dangle down blessings
Snowflake-like nothings that melt on the ear.

"Snowflake-like nothings that melt on the eat." Very nice line. I hope that these two lovers of whom you so passionately write can find their hues again, as seasons always change, maybe they can find their tryst in the elemental beauty of light. But, I am a dreamer, and I don't often believe in giving up when you know you have found the right 'thing.' .... write on, my precious friend, and I will always be there to listen to the sigh of your words and to dance in your ethereal grace.

Excellent poem/story/reverie. :)
