Heart ache

Heart ache

A Poem by Seth DeAlba

My heart aches for your touch
I miss you and everything is a crutch
A poison to my soul
I wish it weren't quite so dull
The knife's edge
Walking along it might pledge
To do some damage
To my heart, all ready full of rage
Rage at what is happening
Anything is better than this saddening
Place
Locked away, not a trace
A trace left alone
On a cold path trapped in stone
So I scream
Scream at this unfair place, so lost in space, I deem
It as falsehood and lie
Somebody might just die
Before this is all over
But I am trapped in a wish of clover
And flowers
All of the towers
Come down, crashing, dashing
all hope gone, drafting
A cold drink
from a hot sink
I sink, deep into the darkness
a lost love, long lost in a dress
of pure red
blood dripping from it's edges, the dread
Filling me with pain
At the loss of you, it's such a drain
A drain on my mind
I wish I was doing fine but it's a crime, the rind
Of the orange keeps track of time
But in time it all fades away, into a dime
On the back of my mind.
