Journey Into the Unknown

Journey Into the Unknown

A Poem by EJ Servellon
"

Sometimes, to find true meaning, treasures, surprises in our life, we are meant to take journeys. A mystery that calls within each of us to discover.

"

For years, eons it seems I have walked.

So many stories I’ve heard over and over and over

All different, yet familiar at the same time.

Where to now?

Seen so much, yet something always missing.

What? I ask.

Where? I ask

When? I ask.

I sit, wait, observe, contemplate my environment.

A voice akin to me speaks, whispers, sings, even cries at times.

Unpack your bags my friend, we are going on a trip.

A trip? I ask.

Where?  I ask.

Why? I ask.

A trip into the unknown, is said.

Where you will not need any bags.

Come aboard my train, and let yourself be guided.

What will guide us? I ask

The light and the music of course, is said.

Only a measure of years to go before bedtime,

so have some fun while it is still recess in this beautiful playground of wonders.

Remember that everything is permissible,

But not everything is of benefit.

Your eye is the lamp.

If it is clean, then your life, your journey will be full of light.

If it is dirty, then you will be navigating in blindness.

If you know your why? Then you will know your how.

Don’t get attached to the experience, and have grace.

Have grace with the music and feel.

If you feel, then your lamp will be cleaner and ever brighter,

As you journey to all areas unknown, yet familiar once shown.
