Alone

Alone

A Poem by Amber Nicole

I am alone.
I have no pillows
to rest my head.
Nowhere to lay
in a soft bed.
I have no parents,
no father and mother.
I have no siblings,
a sister and brother.
And then I hear it,
a knock at the door.
I getup to answer
what I am no more.
I see a man
with a charming grin,
silently asking
to be let in.
With looks to kill
like a romancer,
i blandly look
and tell him my answer.
I am alone

Hmm, this almost makes me think of a nursery rhyme which can be interpreted as a good thing. To be honest though, it left me wanting more. More what? I don't know. It feels like this poem can offer a deeper richness. That's not to say I don't like it or that it isn't good. Just saying I felt like more could be said.

Well said and written.
Flat rate emotions said from your heart.
You have talent, like your words you craft.
