7 AM

7 AM

A Poem by Amber Nicole

once green and lively
now frozen in place
like a stilled photograph
in the moving world
a stolen moment
outlined in white-
a child's broken crayon

a picture frozen in place
by the frost of the night-
the perfect painting
that has never been painted
now a poem
painted with the brush
of a pen

stilled in the morning dew-
green blades
with flowerly white
not yet touched
by the harsh hands of humanity-
soon to wilt
and fade away

left only in the place
of rememberence

I love the image of early frost. We both like to paint with words.

How perfectly you captured 7 AM, and the photograph. Such are the cruelties of winter, before an early spring steps in to awaken the sleeping, and bring back to life, the dead...

now a poem
painted with the brush
of a pen - I too think of writing in terms of art....and when my fingers stroke the keyboard, sometimes I imagine I am playing the piano, except my music is visible, not audible....

Anyways, Great job!
