Crowned.A Poem by Aurora Night
Crowned
An Angel’s wings light the sky,
people hoping they won’t die.
A smile upon its face,
Eyes that shine with grace.
Skin as smooth as silk,
And in its hands a child’s quilt.
What child has such luck?
A child who likes ducks?
A child whose name might be Buck?
Maybe we’re mistaken,
What if it is not a child’s quilt?
Could it be child taken?
The small figure moves in the wind.
A bird sings its song in a distance.
Families kin gather around
To watch the new born child be crowned
Is this a prince we see?
Or a king soon to be?
The figure rises while the Angel falls.
The light across the earth dims. The sweet Angels’ face saddens.
An Angel banished from heaven.
The child a king in heaven.
The two-forever opposites.
One rules hell.
The other rules heaven.
One feared, while the other is worshipped.
A bird’s song fades while the two disappear.
Our lives silenced
By the sight, we saw here.
