The End of the WorldA Poem by [Mackenzie]
Contempt
With each passing glance On the fallen peasant soldiers Shrunken bundles in the bleeding streets. Corruption A broken, useless government And a puppet king hiding in an imaginary castle While his kingdom burns to the ground. Catastrophe Marching ranks flow through the city Like plague-rats, an endless stream Trampling the dead and dying without a second look. Uprising Resistance War. All just different names for The end of the world. © 2010 [Mackenzie] |
