The End of the World

The End of the World

A Poem by [Mackenzie]

Contempt
With each passing glance
On the fallen peasant soldiers
Shrunken bundles in the bleeding streets.

Corruption
A broken, useless government
And a puppet king hiding in an imaginary castle
While his kingdom burns to the ground.

Catastrophe
Marching ranks flow through the city
Like plague-rats, an endless stream
Trampling the dead and dying without a second look.

Uprising
Resistance
War.

All just different names for
The end of the world.

The words flow through veins of darkness... rich, captivating, descriptive. Physical yet emotional. A far-fetched 98/100 for me.
