Paper SkinA Poem by [Mackenzie]
Rain pouring from the heavens lights the sky a sickly gray
and we break with each poison drop as the deadly bliss sinks into our paper skin. The brilliance of Berlin blinds us as we disappear into the darkness leaving civility behind. Deafened by the carnage on the city battlefield we use the shadows as a shroud and let the rest of the world slip away. Voiceless in a nameless place we scream to the heavens with the whisper of a butterfly's wing and fall to the ground for another thousand years. © 2010 [Mackenzie]Author's Note
