Let the World Roll By

A Poem by [Mackenzie]

I don't know why I do this.
Why I suffer in silence
As the world rolls by without me.

Nobody cares.
Isn't it funny how they only pay attention
When I'm happy-go-lucky-me?

Nobody cares.
A single tear rolls down my cheek
And nobody spares a glance.

Sometimes, I think it wouldn't be so bad
If I were to lie down, close my eyes
And let the world roll by without me.

Okay so sometimes I get depressed. This is the result. Suicide reference is bad and evil.

I can totally relate, not about the suicide, but definitely the line,

"Isn't it funny how they only pay attention
When I'm happy-go-lucky-me?"

This will sound cheesey, but that poem was really a piece of raw emotion. It captured the feeling of hopelessness perfectly to me. Great write.
