I'm Not...

I'm Not...

A Poem by [Mackenzie]

I'm not crying anymore.

I did all that

The days before;

when you first went away.

I'm not laughing anymore.

You took my laugh

Like you took your suitcase

And the clothes lying on the floor.

I'm not smiling anymore.

Why should I smile

When I know that I can't be truly happy

Without you?

I'm not hurting anymore.

I screamed

And cried out all my hurt

When you walked out that door

Without a second glance.

I won't fight anymore.

If you come back

Then we'll start anew.

No more arguing.

I'm not trying to let go anymore.

I tried to do that after you were gone.

But you kept coming back

Invading my mind with your hurtful words.

But if you don't come back

Then I'll know something else.

I won't love you anymore.

I don't think the ending's as powerful as it could've been.
