Desire

Desire

A Poem by [Mackenzie]

Turn around

Can't you see?

The colours of desperation painted on my face

The love shining in my eyes?

You look at me like I mean nothing

Like I'm just another leaf blowing in the wind

Like I'm just one more raindrop on your face

Just another girl.

But you;

In my eyes you're much more than 'just another boy'.

I look at you

Like you're the tree that the leaves came from

Like you're the clouds that bring the rain

Like you're the king of my own little world.

Can't you see

How I burn with desire

How I wish to kiss your perfect lips

To caress that golden hair?

I want just one thing

To make my life complete;

I want to hear you say

'I love you.'
