Walking on Leaves

Walking on Leaves

A Poem by [Mackenzie]

Walking through the autumn woods

I stop

And look around.

The leaves are falling;

Dry and brittle, but colourful.

Like your spirit;

Like self-confidence.

If you step on it

It cracks and crumbles

But though it is broken,

There's always some left over.

So this time

I am not afraid to be

Walking on leaves.
