Transient

Transient

It wrote itself during lunch today. I really have no clue, so don't ask. :)

Transient

Fountains of youth slipped softly through many a season,

with deserts of blue-bonnets creeping along,

sleepily, through interim grains of sand,

yet, slowing quite bitterly to a defiant trickle....

They dipped down to a quiet vibration,

a whistle only barely audible in time's extent...

And her sweet voice echoed back from caverns of stone canvas,

"How do I..." she murmured,

her voice fading through an automated hum.

But to this question, there would be no answer,

for the world had tightly shut its drooping eyes,

And silence was all that remained for her desperate ears to hear.
