Affinity

 

 

I came to a place of hushed reverence,

within….

When above him I lingered,

suspended in a time of not….

That I should discover the secret design,

the treasure path to his buried soul.

In that moment,

our worlds transposed, collectively…

to reveal the day in the night,

to betray the reflection of our moon,

slowly…

as he pressed deep its penetrating presence,

between.

 

 

As the surroundings of the periphery

lent blackness to my line of sight,

there was not but    nothing    left,

nothing but that …

which hovered beyond my soul.

The echoes,

absent of distant sight,

spawned a delectable fragrance,

melting exclusively upon my delicate tongue.

The momentary phenomenon faded…

temporally into the eclipsed void.

 

 

For that which floated curiously,

gave substance to the abysmal   exist

And that which lie beneath me,

transformed we…

into an enduring breath upon our weary souls.

 

Author's Note

It always seems so much better in my head and on my heart. The feeling, that is. Words can never express it right. I try and try yet, it never comes out right. Whoever claimed that it could not be defined has certainly given me a challenge. :)
