When the Weeping Willow Cries

When the Weeping Willow Cries

A Poem by Seriana
"

Written for Redneck Angel's Contest.

"

When the weeping willow cries

They lie upon an earthen demise

Beneath her feet, the frail ones die

A pale and shadowed mortal disguise

Never to breathe unspoken goodbyes

As icicles drip from her grieving eyes

And clouds roll in from distant skies

The Willow weeps a mournful cry

A showering lament forever sighed

Death, too soon, a forbidden prize

As winds blow cold and angels fly

A curse shed on them if she tries

Ne’er again will they skyward rise

They acquiesce under fallen skies

A requiem aloft for their airy ties

When the weeping willow cries….

Timeless mortality, her only alibi

Hehehe, I was being clever here. I usually don't explain my pieces, but I fear I must on this one. I tend to get pretty intense sometimes with my writing, and this is no exception. But, Weeping Willow is crying for nothing more than her fallen leaves!!! She's just very dramatic about it. That's all. :)

Well you blew my piece out of the water... you once again show the true essence of grace and beauty in words...

Death, too soon, a forbidden prize
As winds blow cold and angels fly
A curse shed on them if she tries
Ne'er again will they skyward rise

Living is the biggest punishment for someone with no forgiveness in there heart...
I bow to your talents.
