La Muerte de un Sueno

La Muerte de un Sueno

A Poem by Seriana
"

The death of a dream.....

"

La muerte de un sueno

What comes of a dream that died in the night?

the frightful excitement, the lonesome light

when morning spawns a vivid new day

what price will come as the dream slips away?

you maunder and wander

and wonder…

what forgery this life hath foretold…

without a dream it seems without purpose

a restive medley of pendulum-darkened bliss

ticking and tocking in silent cadence

a dream that lingers just beyond stasis

arched and convex

the in-twisted flexing of hazy mimicked musings,

memories of dreams tacked to hickory trees

when gazing upon the dusty milky way

keeping the cynical nature of reality… at bay

yet, in doing so

the doorway to death was absently left ajar

and in she slowly crept

swirling and wrapping

like tendrils, stealing the blood-stained moment

deliberately crippling and cheating

aspirating from you…

your death-defying dreams

ahh...well a style from you I havent seen for awhile.....I think it was great in the flow....

when gazing upon the dusty milky way
keeping the cynical nature of reality at bay
yet, in doing so
the doorway to death was absently left ajar
and in she slowly crept

a haunting line and unexpected in its charm

Yes!!! I love your dark writings and I'm glad to see you experimenting a little again. I love this one and it is going to be my first favorite on my new profile. Love it Amber.

A reality-based phantasm...with twists and turns to keep the reader on their collective toes.

Very well versed...a medley of pendulum-darkened bliss.

Original throughout...excellent work.

In the death of dreams we find such untold mystery about our souls. Here you work such amazing movement through your words, as they dance around us. Your thoughts are profound, piercing through such temporal figments of dreary life. Amazing!!!
