Winter's Embrace

Winter's Embrace

A Poem by Seriana
"

Um, so I saw some frost the other day, and some glowing Christmas lights, and voila! Here you have a....very nice moment. :)

"

Winter’s Embrace

With snow-drenched leaves dripping icicle dreams

and our skin..

soft and silken white

Swayed to the rhythm of the darkened moonlight

When droplets of steam dripped on cotton silhouettes

leaving the air sodden with mirrored glimpses

And silence escaped in favor of echoed gasps

Of traced-on paper windows

Laden with drunken, dizzy visions

and satin touches beneath generous heaps

of yesterdays laundry, in silver repeat

With you lowered beneath in soft caresses

adorned by an electrifying touch

admired in these eyes of mine

to taste of...

to breathe in...

Velvet touches on a glazed window pane

smeared on the frosty elixir of you

Wow...very nice piece here. Your imagery is incredible, with plenty of picturesque language helping to evoke pictures of "inner" (call it what you will :) ) warmth in perfect contrast with the frosty mist of winter. I love your use of color in the poem as well; your direct and indirect references to the colors silver and white were beautifully distributed and emphasized well the message of this piece. Great work. Thank you for sharing.

Your poem is as unique as the frost on the window pain, singular arrangement of words on glass.

Nicely phrased and pleasantly deep.

Fantastic.
The usage of white and silver for winter, and as a purity of love is fantastic.
The lines dealing with melting frost, and the heat of the people help show this relationship as blossoming, and as a new and still pure venture. It makes me a little jealous for what I no longer have.
Great Job.

Oh my Amber you really make the cold weather sound so sexy, heating thing up inside with nothing but two loving souls leaving the bitter winter in the distance... stunning piece.

A sensational scribe. The beauty here is the exquisite descriptions of an almost haunting winter wonderland swooning in a tapestry of sensual delight. This is magical and alluring!

Immaculate word weaving.

You are amazing. I live in Michigan and I hate winter but this poem makes winter seems sensual. I will now look for the beauty in it thanks to this write. If I wrote about winter it would be about living in a cold hell. This poem was nicely crafted and it flowed with great imagery not that doom and gloom I am use to. Thanks for the read request because I would not have wanted to miss this one.
