When the night was calm and the earth stood still

And the only voices to be heard

Were the ones far off in the distance

Reaching through the air to tickle your ears

And whisper ancient secrets alone for you to hear?

Do you remember then….

When I captured your eye for a moment

A moment that turned to eternity in an instant

When the colossal mass of the universe

Wrapped itself around us and sighed?

Do you remember how….

I touched your face so sweetly

Kissing your lips with soothing tenderness

A solitary wet drop streaming through gravity

To land in the palm of your hand?

Do you remember….

The swollen beat of my heart

As you laid your head upon my breast

Feeling the life and love beneath my flesh

To capture the essence of me

With the sole strength of your touch?

Do you remember…

The rapture of your heart,

The night we fell in love?

what a beautiful depiction of falling in love. i could read this over and over again. I know, when two people love each other, there is this strong energy they emit to one another. even in something as simple as lying next to each other. man......you make me miss falling in love again.
