Dwell

There’s always gaps in the space,

togetherness is a luxurious dream…

The vast expanse of my mind carries me there sometimes…

where you are,

on this delicate path we call life.

For those moments,

I’m whole again.

Complete.

Until we must leave one another …

separate like fractals in obtuse directions,

scattering throughout the expanse…

 

Melodies play softly in our distance,

etching tunes along the edges of my mind

to remind me you are near,

again,

surrounding me with the love that remains unspoken.

And I fall my way backwards,

to be caught in the warmth of your arms,

to rest in this comforting place,

the sanctuary I humbly call home.

Isn't it wonderful when the two become one and even though there is distance between the two the memory brings forth the love and care that is still there? I love the images of love you portray. So easy to relax into the warmth of love.
