CrepusculeA Poem by SerianaAs observed on 4-2-21.Crepuscule I sit in
the stillness, bundled in
warmth that wraps my body in clothes, and still,
I feel
the chill as the breeze pierces through the cloth. The sun’s
falling gaze is not enough to warm… it is merely
there for joy, closing out
another glorious day. The
rejoicing halo surrounds, flaring out
symmetrical rays in radiance
of a cloud-sky eve. It hurts
my eyes to look… I fidget
a little against the cold, watching the
sparse hillside for evidence of spring’s arrival, Flowers… …life… the buds, the blades, the petals
dancing in the wind, shaking and
moving in homage to the late-day sun. Time
moves. The glittering
orb glows bright, still. Giving enough
of itself even for blown
leaves off in the distance. The
breeze continues shifting the chimes, multiple sets, to remind… It’s
still very chilly, cool, despite the
significant 10,000-degree surface… a reverent
red aura, a quivering
amaranthine glow, enveloping
another day’s final end…
