This is brilliant, the way you put the reader thru a tumble of sensations, nicely sensory & dynamic. I love how your meaning appears to be intended as a celebration of the differences of people, as if humanity were an "ombre" effect (clever & creative connections). But I can also see this as an ombre effect of everything life has to offer, coming at us in a tumble of sensations. Lots of people are overwhelmed when life comes at them fast & furious & confusing, but your poem shows us how to make friends with the unknown/unexpected & just roll with it (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

wow. variety is the spice of life after all. it takes all kinds, shapes, sizes and colors. quite a prism you've got us looking through here. i like the format - how you just spill it all right out there. there is a silent power in your words. a delightful read. well done ... :)

Colors are like people, coming in many shades and types. The picture I get here is of those colors mingling and changing, but never really ceasing. They are just following their different natures, as humans do. One characteristic, though, that really caught my attention, was "obnoxious buoyance." What's so obnoxious about being able to stay afloat? Sounds like a survival mechanism to me.
Such a beautiful poem that paints such a vivid, colorful image! It reminds me of when you close your eyes, and you see all those colors and shapes darting around. Maybe even like painting, but I think I read exactly what you intended for us to see. It's such a beautiful piece.

Thank you so much for your pretty thoughts. They make me smile :)
People really are walking, talking colour... not a one the same.. a DNA of spectrum, perhaps.. different this and that. And, you have described who and what each of us is, in exquisite poetry. The short decorous words, all hinting at what or where. Lovely language.. a descant of tones and hues. Blue.. how many hints and hues within the creation of a single blue.. How many traits does a single person own in his or her make.up? Metaphorically , brilliantly and yet delicately put.

I started out thinking of men I see on a dating app (no judgment, lol) and then my thoughts drifted to others I knew in life and people in general, and at the end of the day, we are all some for of this brilliant light, colors, fading dark to light and back again. All on the same path of light, yet so many differences in color and character. Thank you again for your beautiful review. I see you as yellow, my dear. A beautiful, sunny soul.
and we all become tinted by the colors of the world....like a white shirt being washed in hot water with a bright red shirt...
it creates a pink hue...people are such a combination of colors...like we have all been washed of originality so that we could blend in with everyone else.
really like this metaphorical write.

There is something so wondrous about colors... every shade and hue... so beautiful to the eyes... to the soul. It is like musical notes, each with its own temperature and bliss. "This is about people." Such a glorious glimpse of this world comes through your sweet language of the soul.
